Opposition to the War on Iraq
The Traverse Area Peace and Justice Community announces the beginning of its fall campaign against the War. In 2006 the American people voted to bring it to an end. But the political process is moving glacially at best. As a kick-off to our renewed anti-war presence we will hold demonstrations against the War on Friday, September 21st and October 5th at Division and Grandview Parkway in Traverse City.
The demonstrations are from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Bring signs and banners.
A potluck/meeting will be held on Friday, September 21 beginning at 5:45 PM at 859 E. Front St.
The public is invited.
Future plans and agenda for the Traverse Area Peace and Justice Community Potluck/Meeting include forums, informational tables, lobbying efforts, developing coordination with regional and national anti-war efforts, outreach to students and encouragement of impeachment proceedings.
